The requirements for modern residential buildings are continuously increasing. In addition to reliable access control systems, digital assistance and telecare solutions are also becoming increasingly important. As a result, seamless integration of different technologies within a connected building infrastructure is gaining greater relevance.

A recent development step has created new opportunities in this area: following the successful implementation of the DTMF tone feature in firmware version rev x.23.x, extensive compatibility testing was carried out with three leading door entry system providers in the United Kingdom – Videx Electronics S.p.A., Intratone UK, and IP Door Entry Ltd.

The test results confirm successful interoperability across all systems tested. In addition, compatibility with Videx has been officially verified. This further strengthens the technical foundation for reliable integration between telecare solutions and existing door entry systems.

For UK housing providers, this opens up additional opportunities in the digitalisation of their housing stock. Improved system integration enables security, communication, and assistance functions to be efficiently combined without requiring replacement of existing infrastructure.

The successful completion of these tests highlights the importance of continuous product development aligned with the practical requirements of housing providers and residents. At the same time, the project demonstrates the added value of close collaboration with technology partners in developing future-ready solutions.

With confirmed compatibility across additional door entry systems, an important step has been taken towards even more flexible and interoperable building technology. This particularly benefits housing providers seeking integrated solutions for security, communication, and digital assistance.
