DRK Niederrhein goes live with the TeleAlarm Cloud Monitoring System
Safety is built on trust, commitment, and the right technology at the right time. These principles are at the heart of the successful implementation of the new Cloud Monitoring System (CMS) at DRK Niederrhein.
With the official launch of the new Cloud Monitoring System (CMS), DRK Niederrhein and TeleAlarm have taken an important step toward the future of emergency call services. During the inauguration ceremony, the new platform was officially presented, and the successful completion of the project was celebrated together with everyone involved.
Representing TeleAlarm, CEO Dr. Arnd Karden and Head of Sales Germany David Wörner attended the event in person and acknowledged the successful collaboration with DRK Niederrhein.
A Strong Partnership for Growing Demands
The requirements for modern personal emergency response service (PERS) monitoring centers continue to increase. As more people rely on personal emergency response systems, expectations regarding availability, performance, and operational flexibility are growing accordingly.
To address these evolving needs, DRK Niederrhein deliberately chose a future-oriented solution. The TeleAlarm Cloud Monitoring System provides the scalability required to reliably manage increasing call volumes while creating the flexibility to support future growth and innovation.
Modern Cloud Technology for Maximum Flexibility
The TeleAlarm Cloud Monitoring System is a fully cloud-based solution hosted on the secure infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS). This allows DRK Niederrhein to benefit from a highly available, secure, and high-performance platform without the need to operate on-premises servers.
One of the system's key advantages is secure location-independent access. Authorized operators can securely log into the platform and manage emergency calls regardless of where they are working. This creates valuable new opportunities, particularly for on-call teams and overnight operations, enabling dispatchers to provide reliable support for emergency call participants even while working remotely.
A System That Grows with Future Requirements
For Sandra Karlsson-Schulz, Head of the Personal Emergency Response Service at DRK Niederrhein e.V., the practical benefits are clear:
"The CMS enables our employees to work in a modern and flexible way. At the same time, it provides us with a platform that helps us maintain our high service quality even as demand continues to grow."
A key strength of the system is its scalability. The CMS has been designed to grow alongside operational requirements, accommodating increasing alarm volumes while providing the flexibility to expand the infrastructure as future needs evolve.
Open to Existing Systems and Future Innovation
The implementation of the Cloud Monitoring System provides DRK Niederrhein with not only a modern technology platform but also long-term investment protection.
Thanks to its interoperability and hardware-independent architecture, the CMS integrates seamlessly with a wide range of alarm devices, sensors, and existing infrastructures. The solution is not tied to a single hardware vendor, allowing organizations to combine personal emergency response devices, sensor technologies, and other alarm sources within one unified platform.
"One of the key success factors of this project was the close collaboration between everyone involved. Together, we developed a solution that not only delivers technically but also meets the practical requirements of day-to-day operations," says Leon Liebl, a member of the CMS implementation project team.
Successful Collaboration as the Foundation for the Future
The implementation of the TeleAlarm Cloud Monitoring System demonstrates how digital innovation and social responsibility can successfully go hand in hand.
For DRK Niederrhein, the move to the cloud platform represents an important milestone toward an even more flexible, efficient, and future-proof personal emergency response service.
Together, DRK Niederrhein and TeleAlarm are shaping the future of digital safety and care services with technology that connects people, supports care professionals, and ultimately delivers what matters most: greater peace of mind for those who depend on it.
