B80A Accompany Transmitter
B80A Accompany & Acknowledgment Transmitter
The B80A wireless wristband transmitter is a specialized device designed exclusively for authorized caregiving staff, combining advanced acknowledgment functionality with intelligent patient accompaniment support. As part of the TeleAlarm NurseCall8 ecosystem, it plays a critical role in dementia care environments where safety, mobility, and discretion must be carefully balanced.
Developed specifically for use within Nurse Call Dementia systems, the B80A enables caregivers to accompany patients through monitored, beacon-controlled areas without triggering alarms. This functionality is essential in facilities where controlled movement is required, allowing staff to guide patients safely while preventing unnecessary alerts and maintaining a calm environment.
In addition to its accompaniment capability, the B80A features a built-in acknowledgment function. Caregivers can confirm and clear alarms by pressing the green button while holding the device within approximately 5 cm of the corresponding transmitter. This short-range interaction ensures that acknowledgments are intentional and performed in direct proximity to the event, enhancing system integrity and accountability.
A key advantage of the B80A is its ability to perform automatic alarm acknowledgment in specific scenarios. For example, when a patient equipped with an S87L wireless transmitter exits a controlled area, the system will automatically acknowledge the alarm if a caregiver carrying a B80A is accompanying them. This intelligent interaction reduces manual steps and prevents unnecessary alarm escalation.
Designed for continuous daily use, the B80A is both waterproof and lightweight, ensuring durability and comfort throughout demanding care routines. It offers flexible wearing options, including as a wristband, clipped to clothing, or worn as a pendant with an adjustable cord.
